Default The Widow Maker - drive safe

A horrific crash in a 996 GT2. Truely a widow maker. I am shocked at the pictures. Drive carefully all - life is precious.

Peace

Hope a 993 would hold together better than that, but nonetheless he must have hit that truck sideways at a ridiculous rate of speed.

So sorry to see this. Not knowing at all the speeds involved, bad things happen more often than we care to admit with overpowered cars on the street. No matter the skill level of the driver.

They may have cut the roof off getting them out.

At the rate these GT2's are getting totalled, it would be a very rare car in the future.

looks like the truck only suffered minor damage to it's "'roo bar".

be safe

Another reminder that driving like this on the street is not the smartest thing.

Tragic. I wonder how much the trubos spooling might have contributed to loss of control by the driver given the road was wet.

Stupidity can turn any vehicle into a widow maker, I think it is a term that is not worthy or warranted in describing a GT2. Any car that has the performance potential of a GT2 deserves a level of respect, that may or may not have been afforded in this case.

I pitty the poor families that are now with out fathers, husbands, brothers or sons, they are truly the vistims here.

Did anyone read the pun at the beginning of the article? "Great Shock" So Sad!!! Speed kills, especially in this event where they were testing the suspension?
