Default Has it been decided the best mid rise lift?

For our beauties, with the clearance's for Eng & Trans R&R

Sorry to beat this one to death, just have a low budget and want to get the best one.

You don't need a midrise for that project. Especially if you are cheap like me

2.5 ton floor jack
4 ESCO Jack stands

OK a midrise would be great. GL in your quest!

$1999 from Northern Tool....on back order till March of April.

I still don't get the MaxJax...lifts the same as a midrise scissors lift, costs 50% more and you are relying on the concrete anchors. It is open underneath however. So far I have not had any issues with accessing the center of any of the cars I have had up on the scissors.

To me, the best option would be a real 2 post with lots of room around it and ceiling height. Short of that the scissors seems to be the proven mid rise solution. I know Robin Sun has put his to the test!

Bendpak scissor jack is what I have. It scares the crap out of me to get under a car balanced on 4 spindly jack stands

Agree!!! My life is worth more than saving a measily 1400 bucks, which is what I paid for my Bendpac llift. Its paid for itself in labor on all the work Ive done myself because of it...
