M1 15w50 is appropriate oil for 993 and costs about $20 for a 5 quart jug at Walmart. Depending on how many miles you drive, changing filters each time is a waste of time and money.

that's great for you if you have the ability, tools, lift, or whatever to get the car up in the air and changed. I do it once a year with my guy as he goes through it and gives me the rundown. I really appreciate a pro looking over my 25 year old baby every year.

Just had mine changed for $375 all-in. Motul 15W-50. And no, I'm not looking for an oil discussion, just my preference and for forum's general info.
Last year it was around $280. Guess inflation is real...

I change my own oil - Cost of materials is @ $170 (use oem filters and and mobil1 with a zinc additive.

I enjoy doing it and being retired, I have the time.

For those off you who do your own oil changes, how many of you use a lift?
Thanks
