Default steering wheel crest

I got this self-adhesive crest from ebay, it looked good for awhile then started to lose it's luster and become unstuck.
I then changed my 4 spoke to a 996 steering wheel - complete with really beautifully enameled crest.
I expect when the cover of the airbag opens it hinges at the bottom so the cover and crest does not become stamped on ones forehead.
Many makes of vehicles have metal badges/crests on their air bag equipped steering wheels.

Just curious, but what happens when you get in a fender-bender and the airbags deploy, launching that small, sharp, metal crest into your face at near-supersonic speeds?

I can see it now: "We're sorry Mrs. Jones, but your husband was killed in a 20 MPH front-end collision. The cause of death wasn't the accident, it was the steel Porsche crest that he glued to his steering wheel. It was lodged in his brain."

That's exactly what I did.

Noah - see my response? don't agree?

I recieved the crest purchased off ebay $25.00, love it canceled the one from performance. All I had to do is cut the post off the back with a dremel tool and applied it to the new wheel with 3m double sided tape. looks really nice. I guess if the air bag ever deploys I'll send picks of my new tattoo.
