I echo Jon Paul's question. How hard was it to pry off the original badge?

My wheel only had the standard 'crest' embossed into the leather .... so no removal req'd .... just stuck the new one on top.

The hood crest would be way to large, I hope you can by a Porsche part with the 3m adhesive attached. If anyone can check it our I would appreciate it.

let us know where you find the crest...I personally like the silver crests...even on the wheels on cars with certain paint colors.

Just ordered one off of Performance products about $80.00 or so with shipping. Also ordered 340MM RFD Freeway steering wheel. Broke but happy.

Heaven forbid your airbag would every need to deploy, but aren't you worried about getting this thing permanently emblazened in your forehead?

Found this one on their website, but no silver crest. Is this the one you bought?

Hi there

I just bought this wheel on UK ebay, and was asking on the 911uk forum about a badge for the centre. Most people there think that you have to be VERY careful about what you stick on the airbag. I reckon a bonnet badge coulkd seriously maim you if the airbag deploys. I was going to get a transfer.

Mark.... You will love the feel of the 340mm wheel. Post some photos when you get it installed.

You know some very good points here about especially forehead tattoo. Jpp yes that is the one I purchased, I know it's not the silver but may have to do. After looking at the wheel Berni posted it looks really good blank, that might be the way I leave it. Let's face it anything will be a huge improvement over the stock tractor wheel.

almost spit out my Margarita...

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, silver crest airbags are also available (for Porsche steering wheels)... though the 3 spoke versions have gotten insanely expensive recently

Mark, hope you didn't loose to much of the drink, Your right about how expensive Porsche wheels are. The fvd with the leather wheel hub, air bag and all was under $1000.00. The Porsche air bag retail is probably $800.00. None of this stuff for these cars is exactly a bargain but what the hell I hope the day I die my last check bounces especially if it's made out to the IRS !!!!!!

Guys, has anyone definetly sourced a quality silver crest for the 3 spoke wheel because I've tried everyone from gert at Carnewal to performance products to the LA Dismantlers all the way to Porsche and no one has them. Please reveal all if you have a source.....

I'm very interested as well... I have a set of Kinesis wheels with custom Porsche centercaps... Very nice items, but the crests are gold, and would really look better in silver! If someone can locate these, I'm in for four or five!
