Last time they dumped into the Potomac , Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria flooded.
Some Wheaton streets haven't seen a plow for the blizzard, and in the Kemp Mill area only one time on Monday. That's just plain terrible..... My street/development has been plowed a zillion times.

This thread could on for a month or more, with all the reports coming in from this storm and then the next snow is expected in a few days. We're down to bare, black asphalt in most areas here in my "hood" now. Yeah! Maybe I'll try to venture out tomorrow. My wife is at the mall today and she said the main roads are fine. I'm enjoying being self-imposed housebound still. So many movies, so little time.

Dc is dumping at RFK
Alexandria is dumping on the land underneath the new WW bridge and Baltimore is dumping in the harbor.
I thought I heard Montgomery Village HOA contracts out the plowing?
Roads north of Damascus were still bad earlier, south was not too bad although 270 had places where the water was 4" deep. Not going near my office in Buckeystown area of Fredneck tomorrow from what I am hearing.

El Niño, Spanish for.... "The Niño," has made an uninvited, though not unexpected, landing ahead of the 2010 Olympic Games. And like Chris Farley in the now infamous SNL skit, the irregularly occurring phenomenon has been a troublesome sight. The weather pattern has brought warmer weather to Vancouver. The record warmth and dearth of snow has proven particularly problematic at low-lying Cypress Mountain, site of the snowboarding and freestyle skiing events. The mountain has been shuttered for the past sveral weeks as hundreds of workers have been working round the clock to create a winter wonderland in time for the Games. Cypress is expected to be ready for competition.
