Default Ever had an instructor like this guy?

A few days ago at Thunderhill. I'll refrain from commenting for the moment, just note that the event organizer does make a comment on the site.

Wow - that 'instructor' seemed like a real a*hole.... it's too bad that this guy's first experience was with someone with that attitude..

The driver clearly says it's his first time out.

Somebody needs to take the instructor to ******* School. Oh, wait, he already has a Master's Degree in that.

i couldn't even watch it all; maybe the instructor's wife left him that day.....

on the plus side, that clip will make a good "how not to instruct" teaching tool.

It's not the driver's first track day. But, regardless, the instructor should have done his job and instructed as opposed to bailing out like a prima donna.

<edit> Played the vid at a louder volume and misheard the driver the first time. I thought he said it was not his first track day; as goofballdeluxe said, it is his first track day.

very constructive input. Instead of going back to basics, he just decided to abandon the ship. Either this guy just turned instructor or had it easy with every other students..... Something is definitely wrong with this guy.

edit: I read all the comments and big props to the driver for keeping his cool and being a gentlemen.

I heard criticism, no instruction. In my region two words for that instructor: FAIL and FIRED.

I've been instructing with PCA & POC for 15 years and have never seen anyone as rude as this guy, he is a complete freakin' tool and if one of our drivers/students came to me and showed me this kind of in-car video, I would **** can the instructor on the spot and have him escorted out of the event and enjoy every moment of it

Fortunately I currently have the priviledge of working with some of the very best PCA instructors in the country, so I will probably never have the opportunity.

Too bad because I like to kick *** on people like that

ZP44

PS: I'd make it up to the driver by putting him with a really good instructor and letting him run a few laps in a different run group to make up for laps he lost with that ahole.

Wow I couldn't make it past about the first 30 seconds of this, is this real? It couldn't be. I would have turned the radio up and told him to hold on and shut up.

Unreal. I commend the driver for not loosing it.

Isn't it unusual that an instructor would not be used to wearing a full-faced helmet?
