We're on the selling end but my guess is the cost of tooling for a complete strut is part of it.

$1250 + new springs. why not buy a complete set of
full adjustable H&R-street coilovers at the same price?

That ain't the worst offender! I have Fox Racing Shocks on my Jeep and I think they were $140 each - look up a 911 price for them. Bilstein for Jeeps also are about $100 each. The strut is a much more complicated proposition than the straight monotubes on my Heep.

deit: Current Fox price for non-coilover emulsion shock - $150 each. And there are a ton more options than the few us 993 guys have. http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/...aft-p-639.html

Anyway, I strongly recommend anybody in the market for a sporty reasonably priced shock to give these a try. In other OT news, I noticed Paragon has a KT gauge available similar to the Autometrics one.

Yea i suppose complexity could be the culprit but i figure in reality they assume that Porsche people have more money and will spend more. I am going to buy new shocks next month and i would love to try these but i had budgeted 800 dollars for the Bilstein hd's i dont know if i can swing the extra 500 bucks for these but well see. It will depend on how much it will cost to have my turbo rebuilt.

Didn't realize you were asking about a 964, sorry. I don't know if you would be ok with that but I suspect that's right. The p/n's they list are Bilstein p/n's, I suspect if you go to Bilstein's web site you can get it straight from the horses mouth.

So will the 993 ever see the FSD technology. Or does this just add to the list of cool stuff that we can never get for the 993.

The 964 and 996 FSD are on the way to us. We don't yet have an eta on the 993 FSD units but I'll keep you guys posted. We're checking with Holland now.
