-the door mounted speaker covers are right where my foot swings out when exiting...CRACK!

-the windshield squeaks if i don't put in ice wax every 4-6 mos. and then the extra wax leaks out and gets all over the paint hours later when i drive it.

-no matter what method i use to close the front trunk i feel like i'm damaging something.
Hmmm. I don't suffer from any of those. Lots of other annoyances, but not those.

Hi

My biggest gripe is the Tiptronic box, in that it has four gears and needs five. The cost of parts you have to expect. It is not a "cheap" car. Pedals need to be close together in order to heel and toe. Try some Lotus cars for really close pedals.

Also with sunroofs, I just have to have one.

What I find hard to understand is how so many US cars do not have the sports seats. I know the big bolsters can get in the way but once you are in they are soooo much better. As far as leather quality is concerned my drivers seat has done 185k miles and the leather is good. I have seen plenty of 15 year old Japanese cars where the leather is like paper and coming apart all over the place.

All the best

Berni

My biggest annoyance? That I waited so long to buy one.

I'm sure the door check strap has also peeved more than a few around here.

Good to see you posting Leland. Long time. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat.

I really love the car, but since we are whining:

1. Heater controls hard to see
2. Radio ***** hard to reach
3. No cup-holder

Cheers,

Vince

The split between first and second gear; and the too tall 6th. The HVAC control ***** are out of my sight line, but for some reason that doesn't bother me.

You have a great sounding exhaust; therefore radios are optional.

You should have bought the street version; a 996 or 997.

Where does it store all that water that runs out from under the rear side windows for hours after the car's been washed?

Plastic rear window in the cab is hard to understand. American car companies even had glass back then. It must be a German thing because my '02 Z3 has plastic too.

Not exclusively a German thing. My '99 Miata had a glass rear window, but previous years used plastic.
