Bye Bye SAI
After five hours and help from my 6 year old, the SAI is gone.
Thanks to those that have done this before and posted their procedures on removal.
One helpful hint. When removing the two bolts near the engine oil filter, you do not need to remove parts and reach up there. I used a extension magnet. I first loosed the bolts on top, then underneath the car I held the bolts with the magnet extension while my 6 year old Miles loosen them from the engine bay.

I just weighted it 6.4 pounds.
The SAI port looked really black. Thank goodness for a '95.
I'll post pictures of the final product after I powder coat the air intakes (stacks).

Welcome to the club!
Did you use the Patrick Motorsports cam tower plugs?
Pics from my SAI removal day:
Yanked...
The scattered remains...
All back together with a nice open area behind the intake...

While you're at it, you might want to consider deleting a cruise control too. Useless and heavy IMHO.
If you do any long driving driving at all in these days of heavy-handed $$ enforcement, I can't imagine heading out for a long trip on a clear highway and not setting cruise below 80.
Just a counterpoint.

My guess is the cruise control is a 5 to 10 pound lump which is sitting on top of the engine. I prefer to drive the way I want to drive with a 1 to 2 pound V1 on my windshield

Cactus, wonderful picture. The SAI is a bear to get out of there.
Joe, educate me on the cruise control delete.
I removed my heat and cruise control that was attached to the heater blower many years ago.
However, I did notice that cruise control "lump" sitting ontop of the engine.
Any specifics on removal?
Thanks Kevin
