I'm more interested in transporting food and drink from Whataburger to home.

Thanks guys for your help. Unfortunately, I have not been able to reach http://www.inventivaconcepts.com/air-1.html as they don't have a phone number listed. I have also tried http://www.drinkholders.com/ but their phone number doesn't work and their website is down. Any other ideas other than having to pay someone to hold it?

I have the inventiva. Works well. pretty unobtrusive. I'm going to be putting a fire extinguisher mount on the passenger seat so I don't know where i'll move it to though.

Cactus' solution gets my vote. Elegant functionality, perfect place for the can of WD-40 to complement the roll of duct tape when it is not being used as a cupholder. The quintessential Southern Tool Kit--if it moves, but it ain't supposed to, use the duct tape. If it's supposed to move, but it don't, use the WD-40.

maybe somebody else posted a link to a previous discussion that showed a bicycle water bottle cage...don't know.

parts needed;
water bottle cage-carbon, alu, whatever
angle bracket-4"x4", or 6" x 6"
two nut's/bolt's/washers to attach water bottle bracket to "L" bracket
drill to enlarge hole in bracket where it bolts under seat rail
hacksaw to narrow down bracket width to fit inside seat rail
spray paint for bracket to match
attach bracket with pass front left seat rail bolt

The end result is a perfect location, very natural reach. Note, this does limit the forward movement of the seat if you use a 4"x4" bracket. A 6"x6" bracket would put it 2" more forward(I would cut that extra 2" off the vertical-where the bottle cage actually mounts).

Simply, cheap, and effective

Consider mounting the FE on the driver's side rather than the passenger side....much easier to get to when you really need it, and once you've perfected your entry it's fairly unobtrusive.

I use duct tape, too. It's even in my signature.

I recently purchased a new Inventiva Air-1 cup holder from EBay for BIN 49.95 + $3.50 shipping. Great transaction. Here is the link: http://www.inventivaconcepts.com/air-1.html
