Where did you buy them and what do they cost?

I think im really leaning towards getting the Real MY02's if thats how much weight I will save.
I think the Performance of the car will definatly be noticable. Right?

These are 7.5" and 9" Boxter wheels, so they are not quite the same, hence the much lower price.

Don't forget to factor in tire weight as well. There's quite a variance between different tires.

Combined wheel & tire weight will have a subtle effect on performance but it's debatable what you will feel. I went from the 17" Cup IIs (7 & 9") with 205/50-17 & 255/40-17 (stock 17" sizes) to 18" Speedlines (8 & 10") with 225/40-18 & 265/35-18 (stock 18" sizes) which are considerably heavier (much more difference than what you're looking at). I could notice a slight difference on initial get-it-rolling acceleration but it's not a massive difference.

As to the weights of the solid spoke, NB, "turbo twist" wheels, those look to be about right if memory serves me.

As Noah said, the Italian replicas seem to be a great road wheel and seem to be very durable. The weight difference between the factory wheels and reps can be countered by your tire selection if you take your time.

Yes but the 9" rear rims would make for a great pair for the front....just sell the 7.5" fronts, keep the tires, and keep an eye open for a pair of 10" ET65 rears.

 

I just bought a set that I found on Ebay, OEM MY02's 8X18 and 10X18 with tires, had them just sitting here on the garage floor. So I decided to put them on the scale, this is a rear 10X18 with a 275/35 PS2 mounted. looks like 47lb's with tire, and about 5lbs less for the front.

 

No, it won't. You will not notice a few pounds per corner weight difference. Sorry.

I found mine on Ebay through an LA-based wheel shop, I can't remember the name at the moment. I paid $1045 plus shipping -- a great bargain, IMHO.

 

Another happy Wheel Dynamics customers here. Bought mine with tires, mounted and balanced. Came in a few days later, packaged nicely, wheel weights done perfectly, swapped out my old 16"s and they look and ride great. Very happy with the Italian made knock-offs. And WD couldn't have been easier to work with, would buy from them again

Even Though rotating mass is like taking out X10 of not moving parts? so 5 pounds per corner is like taking out 200lbs out of the interior which everyone trys to do.
