Default What color green is this Targa?

Saw this car in Cars.com for sale, wondering what color this is? I don't think it's Aventurine. Maybe Forest Green Metallic or Oak Green Metallic?

Forest green matelic is my guess as well, a bit too dark for Aventurine. Very nice car by the way, Rancho Santa Fe area no less....

Yeah, the picture looks like it was taken around the highlands outside the gates, though ... I've never seen this color before, it's really beautiful IMHO. 39K miles asking $39K, maybe a tad high, but it is a Targa ...

Spoke via email to the owner, I requested a picture of the option code (to confirm color) but he never sent it, asked if carfax was clean, but he didn't know what one was?? was asking 35.5, but recently raised his price, finally told me he had a buyer in NY for 39K...Doesn't answer the original question though

This color's not on the list of colors for 993. Is it custom or from another year/model?

I've seen pictures of Coupes in the past that may have been this color but I don't have the model years.

Anyone have a picture of Forest Green or Oak Green Metallic they can post? Would be nice to compare.

JPP,

Another vote for Forest Green metallic. I have seen Oak Green in person, and if I recall, it is more of an olive/Jeep/military-green type color.

Forest Green is related to Rainforest Green in that they both have a subtle amount of blue mixed in, although FG is darker that RFG. While I can't show you 'Forest Green', I can show you its close relative, 'Rainforest Green', on my Boxster S.

The For Sale ad list's "navigation" as an option ....? Take it from a buyer who studied the 993 order/build details at nausium, there wasn't a factory navigation option in MY97. If i'm wrong it would be the first time since the 70s.....
I too am casting around for a 993...although a cabriolet body is the focus. This Targa looks nice at first blush however the seller ommits the details,,,, such as color code and build options etc..
While I have zero interest in purchasing this Targa, for kicks I'd phone messaged the seller for details. We'll wait and listen...

PS, my wife is haunted by the fact she too knows and recalls many of Porsche's color code's.

Many of these ad's are rife with errors. I think non-auto-centric folks get overzealous and confused when they check the boxes on the on-line add form.

I'm thinking Stuttgart_20 is correct in saying this Targa is a special order color like Tannen Green Metallic after reviewing these photo's of Butzi Porsche's Birthday present.

Forest Green? Oak Green?

Perhaps the car has been fitted with a Traffic Pro (single DIN headunit with HK or Porsche logo), which could be described as 'OEM'.

I have one in the wife's 97 Targa since I thought it fit the interior styling and I like the non-aftermarket look.

Good piont - the "Trafffic Pro" as a possible owner enhancement. Almost took a similair plunge 10 years ago however stayed put with the 993s original as ordered CDR-210 w/CD changer.

Way, way, way off topic. Somehow a current 7" style touch Navi screen does not seem to fit our 993s interior asthetic. IMHO. Physically no-waaay.

Some where I ran across a 993 which had begain life complete with the Porsche phone option. Once removed the broad shaped center console was enhanced with a 7" touch Navi screen. It was a PC base install. Pretty custom........
