If your caps are all mat black, then I suggest you get some Turquoise Blue touch up paint and a fine artist brush and paint everything that is black on a standard crest in Turquoise Blue. Imagine this crest with just the Porsche script, black bars, the 6 branchy things and the horse and banner in Turq Blue, plus I think I might paint the outer line of the crest as well. I think it would look amazing.
I have NO photoshop skillz, to mock it up for you ..., anybody have the chops to try that?

I saw several 997's in the executives parking lots at Zuefenhausen last year with flat black wheels that had the outer edge lip painted the body color of the car, it was like the new 'Swabian craze' or something. I thought last night that that sort of detail might look cool on your car, but after seeing Matt's car, I got inspired.

May as well go "all in" with the look I guess
My turbo is on the lift at home for the Walrod bushings going in... I need to do the Blue car's control arm bushings soon too.
Looks like I'll also be:
- painting center caps JPP style
- rotor hats in flat black
- repaint calipers (they need it bad)
Fun!

Hi Mark.
I like the concept. My only comment is that the hweels get a bit "lost" when they are entirely black. Have you thought bout having the lips polished back to alloy. That would brake up the solid colour on solid colour thing going on and might really "bring the wheels out". Just a thought but if you are not liking them its a low cost option to try and if you still dont like it could then take back to silver.....Mark

O.k., I plugged in and downloaded Photoshop Skillz from the Matrix .....Not exactly 'Mad Skillz' but a little crazy at least .....
Well, what do you think? Obviously, I'm voting for Yellow Calipers ....
So, imagine these on this car ....

JP, oh man... what have I started... yellow, really?
Hmm. Gotta think about that one. I was just go with black... boring I know.
Those photoshop skillz are way madder than mine
I ordered new center caps a little while ago (in the style you so masterfully p'shopped)
Macca, hey there!
Well, you and my wife would agree on the polished lip version. Well, either way I just put new tires on new wheels. I need to get some use out of them before I go pulling everything off again. Taking wheels to a tire shop is always stressful

I know the Yellow-on-Turquoise sounds crazy, but the colors blue and yellow are complimentary opposites. The look is not for everyone, but I do think it works.

On the caps, no, I meant I ordered the new caps... standard silver/black version. I will need to do the paint work when I get them.

Cool. So will you send them out to get powder coated to match the wheels? I suspect the awesome sheen/patina from powder coating is unique to that process and not matchable with just paint, no?
