The duckie arrived today!
It was done by Gary Stratton, FL.
Can't wait to have it in.

Nice! I'm going to prime mine this weekend.

I just installed my duck on my '95, acquired from MA Shaw. I was in So Cal recently and went directly to their warehouse and met Mike himself. It was nice to meet him and chat about cars and the biz. The fitment is terrific. I went a slightly different route with the grille and ordered a custom unit from Al Kosmal (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ew-grille.html). I think the perforated grille complements the modern looks of the 993 much better. I highly recommend Al's grille if you are looking for a good-looking alternative to the OEM grille for your duck tail. He is great to work with and a true Porsche guy. Now I have a set of RoW M030 springs in their box just waiting to be installed. Slippery slope continues...

^^^ Looks great! I am still on the fence about my grill. I think yours looks great, very clean. What is the material around the perforated metal? Have you considered painting the white area's under the grill? I don't think it looks bad, just might look cleaner. I can't wait to get mine painted and installed.

There is a nice rubber trim piece that surrounds the edge of the grille. The grille itself is perf aluminum, I believe. Yes, I asked my paint guy to paint the area under the grille black but he was reluctant to do so without having the grille on hand. I'm going to take it back and have him spray the area black.

I just read through Al's thread on PelicanParts, pretty cool. Looks great on those early cars. So what kind of badge are you going to do, if any?

We don't need no stinkin badges! Seriously, I don't plan on adding a badge but I do want to add a decal that says Carrera 3.6.

Car back from body shop with Rennspeed Duck... Body shop did have to put some TLC into it but finished product is lovely.

Not so good to start with...

After some time and effort...

After some paint, polish and fitment...

I like the ducktails!

But non-official Porsche mods to the bodywork are not allowed in Switzerland...

Spoke to Gary today and ordered my ducktail. He said I should have it by next week. I can't wait. Hopefully things warm up as well.
