Speedlines were never manufactured in a wide body offset. You would have to use spacers. Otherwise you could order from Tramont, a company in France that manufactures a very highly quality Speedline replica in the proper WB offset. Do a search here for RLer's experience with this company.

Good question. As you are probably aware, the OEM wheel size for GT-2's were 9x18 and 11x18. My guess is that if Speedline produced these wheels, they were modified specifically for the 172 road registerable GT-2's. But to the best of my knowledge the Speedline for Porsche wheel was/is only available in NB offset.

Sadly I don't think it is ever going to happen. Maybe I should have gotten in on the deal for the Tramont but dealing with the shipping didn't sound fun.

It wasn't but a few months ago that I looked at Suncoast to see what their current prices were for a set of RS Speedlines. The price was roughly $6,500-$6,800. I just checked now and Suncoast has them for $7,900/set. Wow.

Understood, but I thought the statement was more general referencing WB Speedlines, and not specific to 993 RS Speedlines. In the same vein the 993 GT2 Speediness had different colored centers and, if I recall correctly, the 993 GT2 centers are magnesium, dissimilar from the 993 RS centers. Thanks Bill.

not to side track...but with such favorable exchange rates now US$-Euro, I imagine you could get a set of Tramont Cup's...built to your ET and width, for around $3K shipped.
Note-YOU arrange the shipping, not thru them. In Oct of 2013, with not friendly exchange rates, my WB set was around $3300 delivered, center caps not included. IIRC, there was about a 28 day production cycle.
While my shipping experience was "interesting" to say the least, another Rennlister (Jlaa) later perfected it. Following his "playbook" line by line, should guarantee a smooth international transaction.
Not authentic Speedline's yes, but a spectacular custom built wheelset none the less.

And no, they were aluminum like the RS wheels
Only the Cup (and maybe some RSR but all the 993 RSR I've seen had BBS) used the magnesium Speed line center-lock wheels 8.5ET52 x18 and 10ET61 x18
