Do you dream 993?

I suppose for my other pcars I would add the following to the collection:
904, 916, 73 911 RS, 911 scrs, Pre Intercooled 930, 924 Carrera GTS, 959, 964 RS, 993 RSCS, 993 GT2, 996 gt2, 997 gt2, 6GT3 RS, 7 GT3RS, CGT
From Porsche Motorsports: 917, 956, 962, 935, Paris Dakar 959, 997 Gt3Cup, RS Spyder.
I think I could be satisfied with this lot....

I really like what I have and it meets my "dream" car desires.
Only want with it would be sport seats.
However, I could go down the path of a few Ferraris - assuming that I keep my 993.

That younger model with fresh leather smell, the great ****, bend her over the speed bump with those two .. uh .. exhausts...
Happy Hollidays all.

If money were no object, I'd build a McLaren F1.
That said, I have to say that I am really unbelievably happy with my current car, how it is set up and how it drives. It's made an average driver like me look pretty good.
If I had bags of money, I might make ,my 993 into a 993 GT2 clone and run in the GT class. But there are not many people in the class, meaning that the wins are kind of hollow.

How are you these days?? I hope you are doing well. Take care!

Tim-- How many days of rain now? Hope you saw the sun this weekend. Almost a year ago, you were a bit stir-crazy , & started a related thread. Short version:
Red widebody 993 Speedster. While I'm dreaming: turbo-charged, but keeping the stock movable spoiler, instead of a whale-tale. (The intercoolers' placement would be like a rare 993 Turbo option that Gemballa offered, where the ICs were split onto the lower sides. Similar to where 996 / 997 Turbos have them now, I believe.)
I mentioned the rare Gemballa Turbo option with the stealth intercoolers, I think the following photo is the general model. Turbo cab with stock, movable tail ... sweet!
I'd love to get some discussion going on this Gemballa water/air intercooler.
I don't think I've seen much mention of this on Rennlist. Anyone have experience with one of these?
More info in this link to the entire 2000 Gemballa PDF catalog. Per page 6, "500 hp BiTurbo, no rear spoiler required."

I really like my car and if I came into unlimited funds tomorrow, I would keep it, and not add anything to the fleet. For some reason, the wanting to get the Ferrari or Maserati, has left my system.
I would put in the G50/31, short shift stuff, solid engine mounts, and suspension upgrade. But none of these are pressing items.

I already have my ultimate dream car. Can't think of anything it needs. Ordered everything perfectly! Maybe have a spare car that looks exactly the same?

Thankfully I've wandered across the two that pretty much sum up how I use 911's.
But if I were to splurge and make something, it would be the turbo convertible that the factory never made. Or did they? Just a nice cruiser car.
If we're going for things we can buy, then hell yes I'd knock Joe Wong or Bob Rodriguez over the head and try to pry a GT2 Evo out of either of them.

Ah... there was, in the olden days (probably 1999 or 2000) , a speed yellow 993 ClubSport at ParkPlace in Bellevue.
It still had the "Porsche Zentrum Frankfurt" oil change sticker on it from when it was last serviced in germany.... and to think I didn't have $87k to put into a non-street legal car at the time.

I would take a 997 GT3 RS(2), and exchange all the "underneath parts" of my 993 with the GT3 parts. I then would have the best of both worlds: a great looking 993 GT3 RS!

I'm with Mike,
Whilst I would love a "REAL" GT2 - i built mine the way i wanted to.... and use it the same way - Not 1 month after the concours - here i am again at the track.....

And there is no way I would take a real one around there....
BUt i would like - say another set of wheels (yes i am sick) and maybe a full Alcantara interior, aand maybe a lexan rear screen, and maybe more HP and maybe....... well need I go on?
Simon.
