Default Central Warning Light question

Haven't driven the car in a while about 2 months (it's the wife's and she had back surgery). My battery was on the way out so got a new one and drove her around today. Drives fine only issue is that the Central Warning Light comes on after start up.

No other warning lights come on along with it. I can clear the light but would like to resolve the problem. I did a bit of searching and during ignition on I see the CEL, Airbag, and all others lights come on except for the Brake Pad Wear Sensor light and the two ABD lights.

The manual says the Brake Pad Wear Sensor light should come on but doesn't mention anything about the ABD lights.

Can anybody confirm that a primary warning bulb out will trip the Central Warning Light?

I though they all came on as a test before you start the car. Maybe the bulbs are burnt out? Just a guess, but it's easy to verify.

Spoiler light should come on also until you go forward above 1 mph.

I double checked on my car, the 2 ABD lights come on, as does the brake pad wear indicator light on initial system test. I thought the "!" came on only when one of the other indicators was lit.

Makes me want to think you have a problem with the ABD or brake pads but have bulbs burnt out.

I believe the "!" also comes on when the parking break is engaged. Just one more thing to check.

Do you have a C4?

If so it can take up to 1min to pressurize the brake system. The light will be on till it get pumped up.

This is true but the parking brake indicator also lights. Is there a car built with more warning lights than a 911?

Maybe the "!" lights up if it detects a bad bulb on self test failure?
