Nah, why give the state more money that it doesn't deserve.

Ill put in my no vote for two reasons:
1) geek/poser factor
2) easy to remeber

I like them, if you can get one that you like, go for it (IMHO)

Not sure I understand the point of putting the model of the car on the plate. Seems too obvious. But, I'll put in my vote for personalized. Good cheap fun!!

I considered it, but elected not to go with a "vanity" plate. Just very happy that we do not have to place a plate on the front of our cars here in AZ

I vote yes, but only if it says something about you (or you with your car). Plates that just state the obvious (like "993") are a waste of money, IMHO.

If you're under 30, you probably want one. If you're over 30, you probably don't

Seems to be a love-hate thing with custom plates. I think it's kind-of funny how some people react to them....or better yet are confused by them. I have "ASET MGR" on my daily driver Land Rover,....I'm an independent asset manager. At a gas station I had a woman ask if I work with sets for movies.

On the 993, I just have my initials:

To the OP, I say do what you want, others can go pound sand if they don't like it.

Bah, I put the model of my car on there because I deleted the badges. And I wanted a Barber plate anyway.

If it makes you happy do it as its YOUR car. Put something clever on there that other 993 guys will laugh at. I've never had any negative feedback on mine and both air cooled guys & water boys all have a laugh over it. There is a fine line between douchey an clever though an here in chicago there are alot more douchey plates than funny ones

I had MY ROI on my 911s because in one way or another my investments paid for them. People who didn't know me probably thought it was cocky or something, but folks who know me knew better.
