Sure, why not? I have the name of my former recording studio on mine - good times there, good times in the car.

I have a different view of the model number on the plate...

Most people...what 99%...do not know what 993 means, even some Porsche owners (non-enthusiasts.

There is only one 993 plate in each state. Hah! I happened to look at the Dept of Licensing and 993 was available so I grabbed it. Dunno who had it before but now I've got it now...

At the Rennlist GTG, it was a pretty popular as in, "Dang, how did you get that"!

So anyhow, I like them be they model numbers (at least on Porsches) or a clever saying.

Cheers!

No, a waste of $$. I drive in cognito. The car speaks for itself.

As long as they are not "arrogant," then why not? That's my view.

When I get them, I tend to make fun of myself, somewhat.

Had "JUSTAVW" on one of my old P-cars and "NO TORK" on an S2000.

Man, you paid up for that one. The new Texas personalized plate fee went from $40 to $200 a year!

I got one ordered just before the change. Mine: RUF

Good cheap fun is right... I'm from England, where to get a decent personal plate can cost $$$$$$.... I don't have one on the Porsche, but my Euro / grey market M6 has this:

Don't worry about being judged by your plate...you already got judged by your car!
