Oh yeah, it's plenty fast. I'd consider it, but I'd like to keep the M5 as well.
Thanks. For me it's the perfect DD and long road trip car. I just wish we had an Autobahn here....

It's nice to see everyone's great looking pre-BB M5s.

With the F10 coming soon, I might go back to BMW. I had to skip the E90 and E60s, not my cup of tea. That Bangled stuff just didn't work for me. But after seeing all these great pics, maybe I should just pick up a good E34 or 39. I like George K's M5T. Daytona Violet! Wow, it's so nice. I wish we could get M5 Estates here.

The F10 unveiling is supposed to happen on Monday(?)

Color is Amethyst. One off. Actually it seems 2-off, but I have never seen/heard of the other one.

It's nice to see that so many Rlister's also have great taste in MB's & BMW's!

Here are my 2 - a grey market E24 M635csi & my custom widebody MB Coupe (a 2.5 year project...)

The M6 is one of the greatest cars ever produced - amazing performance, balance and style. Wonderful car to drive.

Nurburger - Love your E24...WOW...mindblowing and also your W124 wide body...the original Hammer...amazing...!!! Fantastic.

Tony - The C43 looks *sweet* when lowered on Monoblocks...thanks for posting the video too.

Guys with E39 M5s how are they holding up beyond 100K?

I am alittle E55 biased...

recently dyno'd 565wheel torques! (as Jeremy Clarkson would say).

While my C2S is getting top end work, I'm driving my 88 M6. Less refined and two fewer doors than the E34 and E39 M5, a different driving experience than the 993 and stock except for E39 wheels. Still turns heads and provides a lot of enjoyment. I'd like to add an E28 M535 to the stable.

Thanks Yasin - wish my w124 had the HP of your amg! I have a twin turbo, but will still only realize around 360HP! Great car though - last of the hand built MB's.

Here are a few more pictures:

Thanks Yasin! No, not Mosselmann; mine is one of the rare Turbo Technics' kits that were co developed by the UK dealer Hughes of Beaconsfield. Its a much better developed kit than the Mosselmann.

Yep - 500e seats too - plus E500 headlights and the almost unobtainable AMG Gen II front bumper... Shivers just went down my spine remebering what I spent on this car...!

Thanks for the interest though - you obviously know your stuff!

Awesome cars all and a question for those in the know. I'm considering a 2000 M5 with about 70k miles, what are the typical problems/issues I should be looking for in advance of a thorough PPI? Thanks!

You might want to give this guy a look: http://www.m5videoguide.com/?gclid=C...FRgbawodPGgVpQ

Don't know if what he's offering is worth the $$, but I thought about it when I was looking a few years back....

I am disappointed with myself...I completely forgot about Turbo Technics..when I read your reply, I went outside and kicked my own *** for forgetting. I have a soft spot for W124s (I am previous owner)...your car is purrrrfect....huge congrats on reaching the top of the mountain.

Man I love those E39 M5s. I have to agree they sound like the perfect 4-door friend for the 993.
