Talking Rufus came to visit.....

Mark and I had the pleasure of getting our hands on another RUF yesterday.....RUFUS! He came to the shop for a little "enhancement" surgery (enter joke here). Let's just say that parts of him were "larger" when he left. Here are some before, during and after shots. I sure enjoy working on the RUFs!

Nice work as usual!

May I please see a pic of your lift arm in place on the lifting point?

I use a Rotary asymmetric lift with 2 stage arms and flat pads...and use a hard foam hockey puck.

I don't have a shot of that. We use the long arms in front, short arms in back. We also have a small adapter that raises the back pad about 2" (similar to the pic), so we don't need a hockey puck.

Actually, Steve was kind enough to offer. Mark took Rufus out for a spin
while I cleaned up the tools.....hey wait, how did that happen?!

I like the screw top pads...the lifts I use only have flat pads but the hockey pucks seem to work well.

Your lift looks like a symmetrical type though?

For the asym lifts I back my car in and use the long arms on the front of the vehicle also.

Thanks again.

Brett (jealous of the RUF)

PS: Widebody tips coming soon?

Yes, Our lift has symetrical columns, but assymetrical arms. We use the long arms in front on Porsches. It works well.

No news on the WB tips yet

Cool in the shop pictures! It's always neat to see work in progress shots.
