The inside now matches the great exterior.
Some nice attention to detail with the interior!
I notice you have fitted the post 96 yr door panel inserts. Do they just slide into the metal frame/channel or do you have to remove the metal channel and the re-rivet it on?
I`ve got some carbon ones I was planning on fitting but didn't want to butcher my factory ones in the process.
Thanks

[QUOTE=pstraub;12048460]Thanks Mark, see you soon for sure....just spent an hour at the shop with Darin (had to make sure he was working)
Dude, you gotta tell that guy to let me know... we could get lunch or at least chat for a bit...
You moved too far away

Great work. Looks sharp with the red/black. If anyone want to buy black 996 seats and start the same conversion I have a set without sliders in central florida. Haven't posted a FS ad. And don't want to ship. Prefer local.

... and I have FS a complete set of L/R black leather door panels, arm rests, speaker covers, etc. taken off my TT. Pix available. Also have unused Classic9 recovered upper and lower dash, and black center console - all of which were going into another 993.

I have the same inserts as your black ones which have the channel but just don't know whats involved in removing them. Do they slide in and out or does it involved removing the rivets?

Ok I thought originally you had the shorter door panel inserts that don't got all the way to the door bins. Those ones clip into the door card. Was going off cashmere vs black interior picture comparison on the previous page.

Ahh, OK, you have a good eye. The 'before' picture I was showing was actually from a '96, but the same cashmere colors as my '97. Now I see why you thought I upgraded to later inserts. So yes, the insert just lifts out of the long channel. It's just a friction fit. Make sure the insert channel is above the door panel channel, push them together so the lips will clear each other and slide the insert down into place. Hope that helps.
