Ticking noise behind dash ...
So I just walked in to my garage and heard a loud ticking noise. I turned off my trickle charger and it slowed down. It seems to be behind the dash and stops when I turn on a light.
I haven't driven the car in 2 weeks.
Any clues? Any concern? Should I disconnect the battery?
Thanks!

Thanks to those of you who at least tried to be helpful ...
She stopped ticking, so I assume it finally drained the battery. Once she is charged up again, hopefully she'll do it again so it can be traced back.
Ahh....no... maybe vengeful ex-husand...

I have a girlfriend who seems to always be in a relationship with a married guy and is always shocked when he won't leave his wife. Just recently she got a call from "the wife" telling her that her husband is a serial cheater and she was the other woman once, but she's not letting him go, so watch her back...
Too much drama for me!

UPDATE: My indie mechanic says that it's "most likely the alarm control actuating the flasher relay. Sometimes when they fail they try to flash the parking lights and that may be what you hear."
So, I'm going to charge up the battery and give that fix a try!
