Does anyone have a picture with a write up of what taillights do what?
I mean as in which blink as a turn signal which are driving lights and reverse lights (Those I know).
Im just trying to find out if I have any bulbs out and make sure all my lights are working properly.
Because my turn signal seems that its on crack at the speed it blinks.
Are there warning lights on the dash when you have taillights out??
Anyways I would appreciate a rear end pick with some arrows and telling me what works when. if someone can do that for me

From my 97 owners manual:
Page 139:
1. From the most outboard side: Side marker light
2. Next to that : turn signal
3. Most inboard (rear) side: Side light / stop light
I hope that helps.

Generally, when the blinkers blink faster than normal, it indicates a bulb out. Does it blink extra fast whether you use right or left signals? Generally, it blinks faster on whichever side the bulb is out. There are no warning lights on the 993 indicating a bulb out. I think the rear stop lights (brake light) is the same light as the turn indicator light. The "running lights" that is, the taillights that stay on when you switch on either the parking lights or the headlights include the "brake light" part, as well as two small bulbs on the extreme outside of the rear light cluster.

The lights you see lit are rear running / brake lights (the 21/5w bulbs). The outer lights are the turn signals--I am off to replace one of my brake lights this evening...

The little bulb at the end of my taillights is the only one thats blinking. The one next to it is not. The Running/brake lights are working properly.

Hey 944/951 Guy, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown recently with the fast flasher situation and only the little bulb blinking on the Lt side - rear. I tried everything; replaced all bulbs on all 4 corners, cleaned bulb contacts, applied dielectric grease to contacts, had my 88 year old grandmother pray for me etc...

On my car - the rear bumper must of been off to repair a minor fender bender. After I switched the lighting assemblies no more fast freaking blinker. Hope this helps.
