PSS10 settings for street/track for 993s
#3
I recently installed PSS10s and set them at 6F and 8R. Not too harsh for me on the street and seemed to work well at the track. Keep in mind that I treat my 993 as more of a track appliance than a commuter car so these settings may not work if you prefer a plush ride.

Remember, Pss10s are different from Pss9s. The harded/softest settings are reversed.
RUF suggests 6 front and 4 rear for my Pss10s on my Turbo R. I have fooled around with different settings for aggressive street driving and always come back to these settings. However, I will stiffen it up for mountain drives and future track use.

Patrick and others: I think there's more to it (obviously) than just the Pss9/10 controls (1-10)..
Would be interested to know what kind of ride height you guys are at and which sway bar setup you use?
I have the PSS9's on my turbo (and since it's a ROW 993TT I have the 22F/21R mm sway bars). I just had the left drop link break on my car and I'm debating what to replace it with. The broken one seems home made so I'm thinking about replacing them with the RS drop links. I also need to inspect the front sway bar for any damage. Hopefully it's okay. I'm at just above RS ride height.

Same here and I run the gigantic H&R sway bars too. I don't find it harsh. I still have 17s and run at the bottom of the ROW sport range.

The H&Rs have 2 holes IIRC. I set them on the softer set. I just used the stock front drop links and the shorter Bilstein supplied rear drop links (although I do have a set of home made adjustable drop links for the rear that I might use some day).

Hmmmm...... I was under the understanding that 1 click was the softest and 10 was the stiffest and because the spring rate is higher in the rear (because of all of the engine weight) that we need to run the rears 1 click higher than the fronts.....
I run my PSS10 at 4 clicks in the front and 5 clicks in the rear. I use the car primarily for spirited canyon carving
Next summer I plan to experiment with moving the settings up and down.

With the crappy Southern California roads, I've tried several harder settings with my PSS10's but CD player and my kidneys kept skipping on every bump and manhole cover. So after trying many different settings I found the softest settings (1) for both front and rear work very well for everyday street driving. Autocross, I go with (6)frt and (8)rear.
