Default RS droplinks are $600...any reasonable alternative?

I'm guessing no.

The Tarret stuff looks great, but there is 0 rubber in there and I worry about its effect on my daily driver.

Also, looks like the rear must use a curved link, rather than the straight one sold by Tarret.

Anyone have a set of the factory RS stuff they want to get rid of?

The front drop link is curved, the rear is straight. Aren't you installing PSS10s? They come with new rear droplinks.

Pretty sure it's the other way around. I think the rears require curved links if lowered. My PSS10 came with straight rear links

993RS front drop link ctr, aftermarket links w/ monoballs flanking

front 993RS drop link top, rear 993RS droplink bottom

f/r 993Rs sways and mounts(look for the green dot on rubber parts for RS )

On the back you need the curve RS drops on a lowered car, but even on the front the curved ones add to clearance around the strut & brake lines.

in back you only need curved at the extreme hard setting

RS droplinks aren't $600. They're like $120 each last I checked. Is $600 like "list" for all 4?

There's no reason to buy RS except for fitment. So buy what fits.

Bill Verburg to the rescue...again.. You should charge for this help. I would pay..

The droplinks are in fact $120 a piece....for fronts. $200 a piece for rears from Sunset.

I doubt I will want to run full stiff on either. So I'll try the PSS10 supplied rears for now. Thanks again everyone..

How far do you intend on lowering your car?

Hey Darin,

I'm not sure about the ride height just yet. Nothing too low. Not until I cough up a few grand for uprights..

Seems I would rather spend my money on your mufflers and short shift...

WHAT?!?!? I paid $47 each in 2007 from Sunset for rears. That's terrible.

From my records: RS rear drop link 993.333.073.80, $47

Cool. In my experience, you can still go pretty low using the Bilstein drop link provided. Plenty low on a street car.

Your mats shipped already, your mufflers will ship tomorrow, and porsche said the RS levers are being shipped as we speak. So your SSK will be in the works soon.

Price has gone up to around $175 USD each. Another example of ongoing price gouging by PMNA

Come on! It's only fair. It's a VERY sophisticated piece of kit!

Thanks Darin. I'm going bonkers waiting for many parts from several suppliers.

Sunset has RS wheels and bodywork on the way this week. Just called to order swaybars as well. Looks like the back bar might be months away. None anywhere in Porsche's global inventory.

PSS10's are sitting on the shop floor, waiting for wheels/tires, sways, and the walrod bushings.

Rennline pedals are installed, and the carrier gusset gets welded in with the Fister cans.

WEVO mounts are installed. HID's installed. A coat of wax and 900 miles since i bought the car.

So I've managed to spend a sh*tload of money, but haven't seen much yet. Patience is not my strength.

Yes. The value of that bend went counter to the value of the dollar.

At least the Tarret stuff looks like they are worth the money. Even though they are 50% the cost of the factory stuff.

The Tarret stuff is damn good value for the money.
