Don't know if I played along in the old thread so here it is:

paid: 27k 11/04
mileage: 92,xxx then, now 114,xxx
stock, and bought from second owner (since 3k miles). Track ravaged and needing maintenance.

Been the best damn car I've ever owned, and if any of you that think track duty hurts the car......nonsense! My motor starts first try and runs like a scalded dog. Burns no oil that I can tell and still turns heads everywhere I go. Only hope I can make my 914 resto do the same thing

Default Paid...

In 1999 and 2000, 993 cars were selling at list price. I paid $65,000 for my 97 Carrera with 17,000 miles in December 1999. It had Litronics, hollow spoke 18" wheels, B&B Muffs, 993 Turbo brakes...all ordered from the factory. I dont regret it for a minute....

If could be worth $25,000 to $30,000 today, nearly ten (10) 9 years later....BTW, some marriages don't last that long....and I still love my car, after10 years glorious years...cant beat that.

Nope - it wasn't a salvage title at all - in fact - it had never been in an accident (still hasn't been, BTW ).. It just had - well - a "few issues" when I got it - which I remedied through a quick engine/tranny drop, doing some brake work, and some other stuff...

No guns or violence involved...
