OT: Dining in Downtown Philly
I am headed for Philly and thought I'd ask the 'list for a dining suggestion. I am partial to italian, but open to other ideas. Thanks in advance.

I'm visiting Philly as I write and have been enjoying the places around the Hyatt at Penn's Landing for the past week. Old Town (think Ben Franklin) with numerous restaurants is just a few blocks west of Penn's Landing. I have enjoyed the Moshulu (a four masted scooner moored by the Hyatt - excellent food). LaVaranda (if you like huge chuncks of king crab for an apetizer, steak or lamb chops) a few blocks north of the Hyatt. Ruths Chris is consistantly good ($17 parking, though.) I am going to try Ristorante Panorama in Old Town tonight - 150 wines fresh on tap. I didn't care for The Chart House or Capital Grille. Lots to choose from.

For Italian, go to Dante and Luigi's (cash only)
For ambiance, go to Water Works by the Art Museum.
For asian fusion, go to Budakahn
For the absolute best restaurant in Philly, if you can get in...go to Amada (Tapas)

Amada is a standout, but Jose Garces (chef/owner) has three others that will also make your mouth water: Tinto, Chefa and one I can't recall right now. My favorite of all (and I live here and eat out frequently) is The Four Seasons. You will not find a better restaurant with comfort and cuisine not matched by many!
Don't forget to get a cheesesteak and a pretzel on your way out of town

Are you here for just one meal or over the weekend?
If you are here for more than just dinner, try Plough and Stars for brunch.
And you absolutely must go to Eulogy (begian beer). Get the fries and they will explain how the belgians invented the fries and not the french! Also grab a pot of mussels. I recommend Gulden Draak beer. There are at least 200 if not 300 different beer choices...
