No way no how does the Dach incorporate a merge collector, it has an uncontrolled intersection.....

There is a good sound clip on the Stebro web site of a 993 with x- pipe & their muffs.http://www.stebro.net/html/Default.aspx?PageName=Home
I have the Stebro x with no cats & Fabspeed maxflo's. Great deep sound. Really loud roar above 4k. Everyone stops to see what it is.
The Stebro x was $600. Very well engineered.

I had the Fabspeed straight pipes but I'm switching out to the Fabspeed sport cart modular design after finally seeing it and hearing it in person.

I believe the DACH pipes are top notch but I can't justify paying the price just because "he's one of us".

Any comment on amount of resonance/ loudness of Fabspeed vs. Dach X-pipe?

I too want a X-Pipe in the future.

1. Anyone have a X-pipe with sport cats and a fister Exhaust? I have Fabspeed 200 cell cats and FD Motorsports Stage 1, with FD Motorsports "Fangs." I passed a 92 dB sound check at Laguna Seca this week.

2. I have read that X-pipes with sport cats change the sound of the car, You lose some torque and gain a little bit of HP, Is that True?
My butt dyno says no loss of torque or HP...I am trying to get to a dyno next week. The sound is world class, the best in my opinion, and no 3000 RPM drone.

As I have said in the past, I am sure that Chris at DACH makes a great product, made to order. Made to order wont work for me...I am an impulse buyer in to instant gratification. I ordered Fabspeed 200 cell cats and X pipes on Monday, the package was at my door by Wednesday. Fit and finish, exceptional...couldn't be any better in my opinion. I have heard the same thing about DACH's fit and finish.

IIRC the only reference I have seen about loss torque was in a thread by someone who installed a cat-bypass system, not X-pipes w/sport cats.

Default Torque VS HP

I have a pal who installed a straight pipe system on his 993 race car. He did a before and after dyno...he did note a small loss of mid-range torque, but did pick up some top end HP.
