You slide it in the end of the seat track and tighen its set screw. It does install in seconds and is very secure in the track.

it actually slides over your seat rail and with a wing nut tightens down. The only downside is if you move yoru seat all teh way forward there is no rail left so it slides off.

It is snug and even has a spot to put your cig lighter if you plug in GPS or radar.

This one actually screws into the cigarette lighter jack?

I'm not so sure about this approach....can the cigarette lighter jack/mounting handle this offset torque?

The Inventia clamps on to the passenger seat frame with a simple set screw. It installs and uninstalls in seconds with a simple hand tighten set screw. The only drawback is that you have to remove it before you slide the passenger seat up al the way towards the front..but not a big deal. I have one and it works great for me. There are probably better solutions but this works for me without doing any major mods.

Thanks for the description. I just ordered one. Now I can feel good about taking the Porsche to work and not have to worry about my coffee spilling.

There is a picture in the hardcover 993 accessories book. It's cylinder-shaped and covered in leather and just hangs from the lip of the door pocket. It's not very elegant and frankly the location makes it difficult to use as it is right by your elbow. I use the Inventiva cupholder as well as the VW one, although the problem with the latter is that the rubber right dries out over time.

+1 works great. I would like to state that I transport my DnD to work safely so I can drink at the office. I wouldn't even think of drinking coffee in my Porsche-
