I have a 1995 C2 with a few minor mods. I just had the engine pulled to have a new clutch/ RMS/ gaskets /valve guides (thanks to S. Weiner for the parts) installed and since then the rear end tends to wander all over the highway. When it rains it is just down right dangerous. I have not had an alignment done since the engine went back in. Here are current specs.......
MO 30 suspension
Rear: 25" to underside of wheel well
Front: 25 3/4" to underside of wheel well
Sumitomo HTR Z III tires - front 225/40/ZR 18, rear 265/35/ZR 18
MY02 18" wheels
40lb psi rear
35lb psi front
Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.
If you're feeling it in the dry, I'd be questioning alignment. If you're really feeling it in the wet, I'd question what kind of tire tread you have left, which could also be exacerbated by alignment. With an aggressive alignment I've experienced some pretty scary stuff when I reach the wear bars in back on the inside.
If you dropped the engine, the alignment is out since you have to remove the bottom suspension member, and thus the lower control arms. Even marking with felt pens to restore the alignment just gets the alignment close enough to drive to a shop...get the car aligned and it should be all good to go again.

The first thing I did check was the tire tread as this happened once before with the fronts and I was worn on the inside without realizing it. The rear tread looks fine and a long way from the wear bars.
Alignment was what I had in mind so thanks everyone for confirming this. I will report back when its done.
Just reporting back to let you know I took the car back to my mechanic and he readjusted, realigned etc etc and voila ........... can take those tight turns in the rain again without hesitation !!

Hello Robert
Which shop did the alignment for you and what was the cost? Did they have the tool to do the kinematic toe?
