hidfusion - Sorry for the delayed reply. We don't have any Cobalt Speedsters in the Registry, but I do know of one purchased by Barry Bonds and sent to Strosek for update with an aftermarket bodykit. That car has sold a few times within the past few years. PM me. I'd really like to get you in the Registry!

Curve Lover- sent you a PM. I still owe you those pictures from Stuttgart! Glad to see this thread is still alive.

Blake-- Welcome back. Thanks for the PM, I'll get back to you. Thread wouldn't have been possible without your recent photos from Germany.

Bonds' Strosek Speedster:

Check out hidFusion's 964 forum thread, "Maybe a RARE 964 Porsche Speedster??" No photos of his Cobalt Speedster by page 2, but otherwise incredibly juicy.

^^^^^Except for what looks to be a nav. screen (does it really matter where you're going in a 911?) that is f%$^'n HOT!

Edit: Tip not to my taste either but oh well. How about a 9M motor and G50/32?

Spot on - thanks for the correction! I did a Google search and learned that Barry's Speedster was originally a WHITE 964 Speedster. I now know of ZERO Cobalt speedsters... I know I have seen one somewhere in print - thought it was that Strosek...

That Google search also yielded that Seinfeld owned a 964 Speedster in MARITIME BLUE. It sold this past January at a Barrett-Jackson auction. I have posted a pic below. I posted more pics on the 964 board thread started by hidfusion... Also of note - Porsche installed an RS ENGINE for Jerry...

Thanks,
-B

Hi,

the dark one in Germany near Munich went yesterday back from the garage to the owner. And the price is now no more 75tEUR, no more 65tEUR without hardtop, no, the price is now (i hope you are sitting) 42tEUR!!!!!! He lowered nearly 45%! Seems he needs money, quick.

Btw: is anybody informed, how much was Jerry Seinfelds 964 Speedster at the end of the auction?

Best wishes from Germany

I enjoyed reading the free translation from German to English ... 3.8L RS engine ! ...

Equipment ABS, el. Window siphon, el. Drive away barrier, ESP, leather equipment, metal rims, speed vehicle description Porsche 993 Speedster special reconstructions, ahead like behind Turbo Breit, special preparation with 3.8 L RS motors, Turbo brakes of (993), Turbo Hohlspeichen wheels, RS/Speedster-seats, registered GT exhaust plant, Hardtop custom-made item, 6Gang, speed rent, R/CD Becker, this vehicle is one printing special preparation, the essence of Power, roadster feeling pure.

Here the advertising slogan "joy in the going" makes actually first correctly sense...
