Default new seats!

I've got the driver's seat in already but don't have time for the other one today...so I took some pics of it. Damn these seats are pretty.

Very nice....Love to see them when they are all installed in the car. Your interior looks like the same color as mine.

I am planning on doing the same thing with Recaro SPG-XL. I found the PP's to be a little tight. Plus the harness holes aren't the best height for a Hans.

I just can't figure out the damn mounting brackets since the seat sides don't have a seat belt mount.

All you need is the little seat belt receiver bracket you can see at the lower right of this picture. The seat belt receiver bolts up to it with the stock bolt and washers. Piece of cake.

Think that something like this is what you need and it`s an original Porsche part ! Hope that this can help you.

Those are the "Heidi Klum" (or whomever trips your trigger) of seats! I bet they even smell good, too!

Below are a couple of pics of the driver's seat installed, as requested. Please pardon the filthy interior. Eventually the blue bits are going to be exchanged for black ones, and then everything will look good together.

Also, one fitment question: in the bottom picture, I've circled in red the spot where the side mount will interfere with the seat belt opening grommet if I want to put the seat at its lower mounting position. Well, I want to put the seat at its lower mounting position. How do I get around the seat belt grommet? Do I have to run spacers between the side mount and seat? Is this the preferred solution? Or should I hack up the grommet (which I'd rather not do)?

@ Rob - I just did some research on seats, too. The PP went up in price but I think I got a quote for 2500 shipped for the black leather version

I finally went with the Euro GT3's after seeing them at the track and trying them. I picked up a nice used set from a Rennlister. This will me my fall project with DAS rollbar install and 6-point harness. Just to hot now in Texas ...

Here's my saga of mounting Recaro seats in a 993

besides the RS mount for the stock seat belt receptacle you also need at least 3x 3mm spacers for the other corners of a seat, you can use oem RS washers or some 3mm stock, I used a combination of both on mine as I over engineered the fastening system

I have that damn part but it rubbed the inside tunnel. Doesn't seem to be enough room. I even pulled the carpet back and removed some of the sound deadening material and still didn't work the best. I did this last year and got fed-up f-n with it. I will try it again. I need to read Bill V's post.

Also, got a custom set of sides from Brey-Krause that have the bolt holes for the seat belts. They are supposed to work with OE Porsche manual sliders but I have not been able to find them.
