We got to Carmel today and so far only one 993 sighting, but we have seen quite a few 356's already. I agree with your comment about the Ferrari's. They are everywhere. Matter of fact there was a REAL Ferrari Daytona coupe parked across the street from our hotel. Don't see those on a daily basis.
F-cars: I toured an Enzo. Immediate respect for the owner: I noticed the poorly-matching touchup-paint on the nose, & then the clearbra cut by human hand. It's his daily driver -- mileage already up to the the mid-20s. Very cool
On the highway enroute to the Laguna Seca Raceways paddock yesterday, I passed an opposite-direction 356 Speedster yesterday, & was more transfixed on it than the traffic light in front of me. Had I bent sheetmetal, I would've said, "But officer, you don't see those in the wild very often. A 356 Speedster; nearly as cool as JoAnne's ol' Outlaw. Surely you understand." To which he would've hauled me off to jail, simply for calling him Shirley.
I'll be there on Saturday. Taking my 19yo son. Driving a Hyper-Blue 05 MCS with checkerboard mirrors and sunroof. Picked up a Blue Corral parking pass. Can't Wait!
I still have not bought tix yet, holding out for a deal
Holding out for a deal or as the DeadHeads would have said "I NEED A MIRACLE".
I'm sitting in our room right now and all I can here are the sounds of Porsches and Ferrari's. The boys are in town! Lots of 993's parked on the streets of Carmel tonight. FINALLY!
