We're going up too. We are in Massive Porsche withdrawal now (having just sold our 993 to Rennie Smoke) and HAVE to go to get our fix (and maybe another car )
We'll be there on Tuesday for the Concours by theSea (or is it Bay?) in Carmel and then back in town for the Historics on Friday. We have to leave on Saturday.
Might bring the Targa down to the races on Sunday but I'll definitely be there Saturday, but with a different ride. I've long since given up on the crowds at the concours and auctions.
Of all things, I'll probably be at the office that weekend, but am going to make an effort to drop by Laguna on Friday to catch some sights and sounds. Let me know if anyone is around on Friday and we can try to meet up.
Anyone in need of a cheap stay down there for the weekend? Months ago I lucked into 3 nights in Salinas at the Good Nite Inn for under $200. Total. Obviously it's not transferable, so I thought I'd go down and stay Thursday night, and can then hand the key over for the weekend. 4 straight car/track weekends is looking to be a bit much..........
are you and Robert going to be at the track on Sat?
Or in monterey on Friday eve? Would love to meet you
all these years!!! We'll be at the Duck Club Grill on Friday eve...followed by (probably) the pub....
Wooo WHOOOO!!!!! We'll be at the track on Saturday too!!
So We'll be at the Concours on the Avenue Tuesday in Carmel.
Then we will be back in town for Races on Friday and Saturday.
I am Jazzed!!!
I think on Friday night we are headed for one of the Auctions. Never know what we might find.... lol
We'll talk about Friday night later. Since our hotel in in Watsonville I don't think we'll be dressing for
a fancy dinner. I'll bring something for a quick change (should be fun in a MINI) and that will be that.
I hope we can find each other at the track. I'll be wearing a large brimmed, all organic hat made of paper and straw (I am not supposed to get much sun anymore). I think I might be wearing a spit ball if it rains!
Do you think can find me with that vague description? Should be at least a couple thousand women there wearing wide brimmed hats at the track.
I just booked my flight into Monterey. I arrive on Friday at about lunch time and leave Sunday at about lunch time. Should be fun. I may have an extra 3 day pass if anyone is interested PM me.
we usually park ourselves over by the corkscrew. I'll probably wear one of Mr Greene's t shirt creations. Also, my car will be in the corral so you might find me there.
The mini went a year ago, I still think about getting another but the new one just doesn't cut it.
I will be the 40 something guy with a 6 year old kid (looks like he's 8). Should be easy to spot
Will probably be wearing a FD Motorsports shirt at some point... we will be at the Porscheplatz and the Flagroom (turns 4-5).
We are driving down early Saturday AM and leaving Sunday night.

Gotcha...
Since I might not be wearing that hat I mentioned above all weekend, the best way to spot me will be by my shoes.
Look for a women who look like me, wearing BRIGHT lime green NB running shoes. Gotta be different.
