Similar products have been discussed in various forums, 996TT IIRC.
GM engine oil break in additive was often used for this purpose and discussed but AFAIK, it is no longer available?

JMHO,.....................
ZDDP additives are OK for engine break-in & racing, although there are now specific break-in and racing oils formulated for those express purposes. I used GM's EOS since 1967 to break in all my race engines,....
Today, I would not use nor recommend a ZDDP-enhancing additive for general use due for the requirement for a balanced detergent package that combats piston & ring deposits caused by high levels of ZDDP.
Good oils are complete chemical packages that balance engine wear, friction, and detergents to keep the engine functioning properly and I'd strongly recommend using a good oil instead of trying to doctor up a product with unintended consequences.

EDIT: Oops, too slow. ^^
From what I gather it's best to just use an oil that has proper P/Zn concentrations to begin with, instead of using an add-in product.
Here's a thread on the add-in products and such:

From the mega oil thread on Pelican:

... the Cliff notes answer is: SWEPCO 15W-40 or Brad Penn 20W-50. Ther are other oils out ther as well. If they are NOT API SL, SM or CJ4 rated, chances are they may be ok.

Howdy,
Instead of posting in the wee hours of the morning, you should have been making your way over to Cars and Coffee. We had a good time and there were about 8 993s there today.

My last two oil changes have been w/ B Penn. What Steve W says makes a world of good sense. Sometimes its hard to keep things simple when you're stupid.
