Default Billet Valve Covers quickie question

I bought mine from Imagine Auto back last winter and now would like a set of lowers for my SC Trackmeister ...but can't find IA. Is Hargett the way to go?

Who sells the lower billet VCs (for SC) with the o-rings included? Thanks, all!

I was just looking at these this morning.

Hargett and Tarett are selling what appears to be the same thing for the same price. Hargett shows the gasket a la carte but both suppliers sell the complete setup for $350.

I also found one from Eagle Day with some nice features for $550.

Group buy maybe???

I think FD Motorsports might be carrying some.

Default Billet valve covers

Will be doing the obligatory valve cover maintenance this fall. These look like a good idea beyond just replacing the gaskets. Any thoughts?

Well if you're asking for an opinion, I'd say absolutely replace with the billet covers. It is pricey, without doubt. But leak-free covers are worth it. But wait, others have said they've replaced their o-rings and all is dry. Yeah, for now. Read those who have done one o-ring replacement and notice how many of them report a leak ...the timespan varies, but a leak is a leak. Compare that with some that track their 993s, along with streeting them, and some of these folks have gone a few years and are still seep-free at the valve covers. This, to me, is a testament of what works. To me, the cost far outweighs oil dripping on to the heat exchangers which results in smoke, smell, and overall is just a pain.

The eagle day lowers are fine (I installed a set 2 yrs ago or so) but the uppers left something to be desired -- namely that they were machined such that they didn't clear the oil crossover tube that feeds the chain housing toward the rear of the engine.

My local machine shop was able to take enough material off the top to fix this problem, but when you are buying a peice of CNC'ed Aluminum, you'ed expect this step would not be necessary.

Is the $310 for just the lowers?
