Default FS: SuperCup mufflers

I've gone the range of mufflers from stock MotorSound to supercups to RSR. I've gotten to be a pro swapping mufflers. While I loved the supercup sound; I was getting quite the sarcastic remarks from the parents while dropping of my kids at school.

So the supercups are for sale. They probably have less than 400 miles on them. I'm asking $500 which includes shipping or if you're in the bay area I'll be glad to install them for you.

***SOLD***

Decent price. How old are these? i.e. what generation are they?

IMHO, the older ones without baffles always seem more desirable to me since they are louder and can still be attenuated with Car Chemistry inserts. I know the newer ones have the fangs, but they look kind of funky.

These later ones will fit either wide or narrow body. They rotate to align up with the exhaust cutouts on either body.

LOL, they make louder ones! I can't even imagine not having baffles and removing the catalytic converter. =^)

Wow, times are tough. These would have sold in a heartbeat at this price a coupe years ago.

What kind of remarks do you get?

I think with the Fister muffs the supercups are in short demand now.

"Did the muffler break?" These are the same parents that think the RSR are too loud.

SuperCups still fill in the range

Stock -> RSR -> Fister Stage 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> SuperCup -> SuperCup w/o baffles

I thought baffles make Supercups quieter?

I always had the impression that the older gen Supercups (with removable baffles) were quieter than these current-gen Supercups, as long as the baffles are kept in place. Am I wrong?

I thought the older, first gen 'Cups without the baffles (which were removable) are louder than the current generation which does not have removable baffles (the perforated tube). Maybe I have it all mixed up, but I'm not sure how having a baffle in a muffler would be louder than not having a baffle.

Well, obviously if you remove the baffles from older Supercups, then they're straight pipes so you can't get any louder than that! But which of these is louder:
[1] Old-gen WITH baffles in place and some kind of packing material
<or>
[2] Current gen (that has fixed baffles).
??
