Actron CP9135 Link Error Try Again?
Hello,
I have a '96 993 and have used the Actron CP9135 for a couple of years, but now I am getting a Link Error Try Again? message when trying to read codes. No pins seem to be bent, does anyone have any insight to this or experienced the same issues?
Thanks,
Chuck

That sometimes happens with some code readers.
Yes, first 'blip' the immobilizer so that the alarm/immobilizer is OFF. (The 'red fob' light - in the clock - should NOT be illuminated!)
Attach the OBD-ii connector to the female socket and establish a connection. You should see it going thru' the various protocols - and 'settling' on ISO-9141-Keyword 2000 and then returning you a 'ready' status.
Then you should be good to go!
