A thing of absolute beauty.

Danny, touch it again before you leave please. And, if you're able, give Jager enough beer and switch cars!!!! Don't worry, we'll work on getting yours back.

I'm late to the party here and know nothing about 993 speedsters (or conversions) but your car really strikes a chord with me. I have always loved the early 90's (or was it the late 80's?) 911 speedster but yours is a step beyond even that in coolness, being a 993 guy.

Thx for the post and glorious pics.

Hey Curve,

VERY cool car! I was at Parade and stared at it for a long time at the Corral and think I waved at you coming from the other direction. It's quite a looker

Brian-- Means a lot from you, especially with your taste in P-cars

Couldn't help but notice your F. Yellow CGT leading great-looking exotics for a tour, to include that Aston Martin. Was busy drooling both times we crossed paths, or would have waved earlier!

Thumbs up Kudos to Jenk12M & Old Guy

Thanks for everyone's incredible interest & patience. Took yesterday off from work to run 993 errands (haven't even had her WB in my garage a week yet), & to organize hundreds of shots; advance pix on p.2 of the "2009 Keystone PCA Parade pix thread". Should post Speedy pix here soon.
Late answering everyone's requests. Haven't even responded to the Porsche mag asking for details yet -- dumb on my part.

In the meantime, finally time to start thanking those directly involved. Been putting that off ... sure I'll screw up & forget to name deserving folks. So, with that in mind, might as well hurry up with the screwing up!

Starting off in no particular order:
Huge appreciation to Rennlisters Old Guy & especially Jenk12M.

After searching for full silver crest wheel centers to 100% match the jeweler's quality silver hood badge, I'd given up. Even Ralph Boothe's wife confirmed he had none to offer. After a couple PMs to Old Guy, however, my luck turned around. Thrilled when UPS delivered these rarities; with theft-deterrent backings:

P.S. If anyone else is dying for silver crest caps on their wheels, there may be 1 business with 1 set left, as of months ago. However, they're 'no-turn technology.'
Seller's price: $700. (BootheDesign.com advertises $600.) PM me for vendor; no affiliation. Silver crests in 1st 30 seconds of below video...

From last winter's "GT Porsche 993 cover" thread in the 993 Turbo Forum:

Next nod of appreciation goes to Mike J & Robin Sun for pcarworkshop.com, & p-car.com, respectively.

Besides his web site, Mike's been an inspiration in another area critical for those of us making an effort to be legal...

My state requires a front plate, so I've studied Mike J's repeatedly. Instead of cutting edges, I folded, then covered with clearbra. [Caveat: possible that bottom should ideally be >12 inches above ground, & face shouldn't be angled. ...Add that to your endless mod list.]

Regarding air flow, no negative aspect, IMHO. IIRC, neither oil cooler nor A/C compressor are impacted in the center.
Thanks for an attractive option, Mike!
