Default On Board Computer Gremlins

Hello 993 Owners,

Has anyone had trouble with their OBC? Mine has all the lights lit up at start up and then eventually returns to normal. Could this be a short in the wire? Would disconnecting the battery help?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Tim

I don't even know what you are asking about.

The OBC under the tach is acting up. It is the digital screen that shows you speed, outside temp., miles to empty, etc.. I know it was optional on 993's but my C2S has it. Just wondering if others have had concerns other than the recent posts regarding illumination issues.

As stated, mine lights up all the possible characters on the screen and then eventually returns to some normalcy.

I know what the OBC is, I don't understand what you are asking.

Your readout shows every combo of the numbers, then goes to just showing the correct reading? If so, it sounds like the LCD is dying. Or your interior is getting WAY to hot, & the screen is bleeding, then when it cools off, the screen goes to normal.
