Default Parade 2009 - Keystone CO: Who's going?

Bob Saville and I are heading to Keystone this Sunday representing Zone 3 and the Carolinas Region respectively. Unfortunately we will be flying and not driving.

So who else is going? Let's plan on getting together one evening.

BTW - I will be bringing a new batch of free 993 Registry decals!

Harvey-- Perfect timing to ask: as of today, I think I'm in.

(Had brake catastrophe; appears successfully fixed minutes ago).
Would be painful if I didn't make, since I've pre-paid, plus posted March's 2009 Keystone PCA Parade pix thread.

Thanks for offering the cool stickers. Please hang on to one for me; hope to meet you & many RLers.

Reminder for all to bring Arrwin's 'Got Air? T-shirt & the one from this RL thread, plus any other 993-related gear!

This is the one I really wanted to attend as I spent a few years in Colorado. Family illness (wife's mother) precludes my/our participation. Enjoy it for all of us that can't be there! Pic's please on your return.

I'll be there Monday afternoon ... if my car makes it out of the paint shop. It's only about 7 hours of nice drive from my house.

Question

I will be in Vail (30 min away) all next week on vacation. Since I'm kinda new to the Porsche scene and not a PCA member I am a little intimidated by this event. If a guy wanted to just drop in and get a taste of the festivities could someone recommend a good way to ease in?

Thanks,

Bob-

I hear that even if you're a PCA member you can't participate in any of the events unless you're registered for Parade. The events would be overcrowded if they let everyone in. The only exception - again, this is what I hear, never been myself - is that Concours is more open to the public. I think it's on Tuesday.

FYI - The local economy is hurting pretty bad out there. Lots of deals to be had at the local eateries. My bro. is the beverage manager at Terra Bistro in Vail.

Brian, Thanks for the info. I really just want to see a few cars and maybe meet a few RL's

Yup, CO is not immune from the down turn, although with all the construction going on in Vail you wouldn't know it.

I have eaten at the Terra Bistro a few times, it is an excellent resturant. If I stop in should I say hi?

What's your brother's name?

Bob,

Please remember what I posted is stricktly third-hand knowledge. It's an easy drive from Vail and probably worth it to go.

There will definitely be some great cars to see at Concours and I'm sure a bunch of RLers.

No worries Brian, I think I will try to get by the day of the concours. Just trying to figure out if I should bring the P-car along. We usually vacation in the bus because we end up bringing much crap along with us....dogs, bikes, gear, etc...

Thanks again for the input.

ps I'll bring my camera along and see if I can get some outsider spy shots
