Default CDC-1 CD 6 disc cartridge???

I just tried a search but it did not help me locate a cdc-1 cartridge for my '95 993. I have the cd unit for the trunk but no 6 disc cartridge inside. Ebay just has cdc-4 and once in awhile a cdc-3. I'd sure like to get the cartridge if anyone can help. Thanks!

I am sure one of the audiophiles will chime in, but you might look for an Alpine replacement, I am pretty sure they manufactured the changer.

they were an alpine unit and i saw them pretty regularly on ebay for around $30. here is one auction and I think this is the style that fits my Porsche cd changer. a number of the german car companies all used the same model.
auction no. 160344230870

Thank for your time and the auction number but there is no way for me to know if this will fit the CDC-1 I have. The auction listing doesn't include Porsche and it doesn't state what year BMW it came out of. I already have one CD cartridge (says Porsche right on it) that I got and it was too thick. Not even close to fitting so that already was a waste of $$ and I'd like to know for sure. Just so many out there.

Had the same issue. Took the my CD player to a audio shop after figuring out that my "Porsche" CD player was an Alpine unit. Guy flipped a alpine 6cd cartrige from behind the desk, put it in and voilà. 10$ later out of the door and one happy camper. Was trying to do it the complicated way (internet, ebay) when i could find help just minutes away from the office.

As many here have said, Alpine should fit. The 6 CD changes in my 911, 1995 Benz E320, 1998 BMW 540i6 and 1996 BMW M3 were all the same and worked interchangably.
