My first 993 was a 95 and I've owned three VR 993s since then. The VR is great for city driving due to the increase in mid-range tq but from the mods you've done, I gathered yours might be more of a canyon carver/DE car than a daily. If that's the case, Weight loss would probably make a bigger difference than the increase in tq (and weight in the wrong place) IMHO. Probably the best way to upgrade power on a 95 would be with RS cams and regear (how the power is used), if its within your budget. A cheap (almost no cost) way to boost tq would be to adjust the timing ala Mike J.

You may be right, I don't know for a fact what the exact number is hence the approximation. The info I have is from two RLers, one with a fiberglass duck tail and the other with a CF lid and tail both of which, IIRC, claimed ~50lb loss over stock.

Speaking of timing, anyone know what is the timing should be set for with stock cams for max torque?
