i de-badged and now i don't like the look
i took off the carrera 4s off my rear decklid and now i don't like the look. i thought i would. the script came off fine, no problem with breakage.
what do i use to reattach the script? it appears it was originally put on with a thin double sided tape.
thanks.

I wasn't sure about mine, but it has grown on me - I painted the engine grille, too. I do think it is a special tape that is used, but I looked in the PET and didn't find a part number. Do you have the PET?

Roche, use this stuff: http://www.autobodysupplies.com/double-sided-tape.htm
btw, I debadged but it still had a ghost image that bothered me. So, I rebadged. But I got a black Carrera emblem and a black 4 with a gray S. Looks nice, imho. I think it would look good on your car with your black details....

FWIW, I de-badged about six months after I got my car. For a few weeks, I didn't like it -- it looked like something was missing. But then I got used to it, and now I really like it. So you might think about waiting a few weeks and seeing if the look grows on you as well.

You can download the PET free from www.paragon-products.com
Everybody should do this now. Trust me.
Here are a few pics of mine:

Roche,
I could be wrong, but I think you will find it next to impossible to get a nice clean look with aftermarket adhesive. As you noted, the script is pretty thin in places. However, you may want to try a spray adhesive - I believe I used that once and it turned out pretty well.
Short of that, I would suggest just buying new emblems. I have a new black Carerra one I could send you.

I pulled my emblems a while back so I could polish the paint around the emblems. I bought a new 'carrera' because my old one was kind of tired, but used 3M trim adhesive (in a squeeze tube) to re-attache my 'S' and it worked great. It's the stuff they use to glue rubber weather seals, etc. (nasty brown looking stuff). I could not find any 2-sided tape that wasn't thick.

I had to modify the placement of a logo and lost the stickiness of the double-sided tape. I took this stuff from my wife's sewing supplies as a temporary fix until I could get a new logo. It was safe to use and it stuck so well that I haven't bought a new logo. It's Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue. Available probably at any craft/hobby or sewing supply place.
