Make sure a do a proper PPI on it before you buy.

I saw that car listed last week. Looks pretty decent.

For a Canadian spec vehicle being sold in Canada, that seems like a fairly reasonable price given the recent work claimed. As others have said, ALWAYS get a PPI. FYI, a US$25000 car will cost ~CDN$31-34000 by the time it's in the country and road legal (Really tough to tell lately, our dollar's on the rise!).

EDIT: The salesman says the car is now sold.

All MY 95s are OBD-1 cars and all US MY 95s have the SAI system. However, the function of the SAI system is irrelevant in OBD-1 cars as the system is not monitored by the OBD system. As a result, no check engine light for malfunction or removal of the SAI system.

BTW, the varioram issue can be remedied. For the best of both worlds, see my sig

Sorry to be so obstinate, but not all US MY '95s have the SAI. The early ones do not. They were produced in '94 but sold as '95's. Option M718. See Streather's book, p.19. Less parts, less weight, easier to work on.

No worries. I've never seen a MY US 95 (even with an early 94 build date) w/o SAI, but I'll take your word for it. Like you, I'm a big fan of the 95 for its lack of OBD-II.

Here's a brief summary...nr1416
Thanks for that. I got a U.S. car last year and, while I'm not selling, didn't have a clue as to the current Canadian values.

P.S. With respect to your search, if you can get your hands on some current Panorama magazines, in the classifieds there is quite a good selection of cars in the U.S. N.E. In the May issue, there are a couple of tantalizing very low mileage '95's.

...I'm a big fan of '95...jmarch
And the early ones don't have immobilizers, to boot.
