Default Who here watches the Indy 500

Just wondering. I lived in Terre Haute, IN when I was 8 Years old and remember listening with a friend and his Dad (We were TV blacked out in those days) while his Dad was working on the family car in the garage. After that I was hooked. Since 1972 I have not missed a race. Whether I listened to it on the radio or like today in my home office cruising Rennlist. I have been 4 times to the race and seeing those cars hit the gas at the green flag is amazing. Enjoy the race.

Tough luck for Marco Andretti.

Marco Andretti had nothing to do with that caution. I was hoping he would have a great day. Sux for him, especially at the start of the race. Marco is out.

I am watching right now. Frustrating with all the caution flags so far. A lot of inexperienced drivers making rookie mistakes.

Nice to see the 500 can bring the crowds again and its not just a Nascar country. Been watching since I was child, never been to it though. Lost interest during the identity crisis years......didn't realize Paul Tracy still raced Indy.....

IMHO Paul Tracy will take whatever seat is offered. I used to really like the guy in the Champ car days. That series was very fan friendly. You could walk the pits. I went to he Michigan 500 and had my Kool 1:18 diecast car signed by Paul. Back then you just hung out by the trailers. You could also walk the garage areas. Still have the diecast car. I also met Greg Moore and got his autograph on the Players diecast car. Later that year he died on the track in California. Sorry for the ramble just enjoying the day. My wife goes to the outlet malls with her sister and leaves me be

Graham Rahal (Bobby Rahal's son) OUT! He was a favorite to win. Got high in turn 4.

I also watch the Coca Cola 600 tonight. Great day for racing. Not a BIG fan of NASCAR, but still catch the big races like tonight. Good post Cactus next year I may make the day a trio. My wife will be so happy.

Just watched a couple of pit stops and it always amazes me in this series that the pit crews can be in position for tire changes before the car comes in for a stop. One miscue from the driver and your done.

Caution flags + DVR mean fast-forward ;-)

Danika blew it during the last pit with that over shoot! Been doing this way to long to make rookie mistakes like that. She picks up a couple spots, looses them, gets them.......she's never been consistent. Good thing she has plenty of endorsement deals

That Boost Mobile commercial was just plain stupid, oh, wait, it's a Danica Patrick commercial. DUH, one and the same. "When you peak, you win" (cue the When Harry Met Sally orgasm scene)...

My main interests this weekend were the Monaco GP and 24 Hours at the Nurburgring. I was following it with live streaming and GPS showing the cars' positions on the circuit. (no spoilers, I won't say who won either).

Indy is a minor amusement for me, and I just cannot bring myself to watch NASCAR.
