Default Updated pics

Here are some updated pics. The car will not be ready for me until Monday. They were installing the side skirts (Aerokit 1B) and wanted them to sit over the weekend. Here are the updated pics.

Mike

Here is the TT tail outer grill, TT S Airducts, and bumper tow hook cover all painted.

Here is the rear bumper they reworked and did a great job on. The bumperettes are GONE!!!! I went Euro.

Here are the mirrors, door handles and gas door all done. The door handles were very easy to take apart.

Here is the TT tail base. This car is going to be BLUE. There is so much to paint. Once the black trim goes in it should all come together.

Here is the Euro TT bumper. Notice the new black grill installed. Black is such a good contrast to the car. I was a little worried with all the painted parts. I think it will come together nicely in the end. It better!

Here is an updated pic of the car. The last pic was the car in the booth. They hung the doors and will have everything else buttoned up on Monday. That's when I get the car and finish it off. Where are my headlight washers? Oh yea they are gone as well

John

Internet finally back up. Probably will have the car back on Monday or Tuesday. The windshield installers will be in on Wednesday. I didn't know if you saw, but Donnie went ahead and installed the fender to cowl seals while the doors wer off. We don't have to do it. He had a hard time getting them in. We still need to check the fender bolts. I think we left them loose.

this is going to look awesome!

btw what lights are you going to use in the TT-S air ducts? are you sticking w/factory position lights or Hella fogs or HIDs? I'm not happy w/my position lights and am looking at alternatives

Hi Mike,

Did they do anything special on the handles, etc. that take a lot of abrasion? For example, I have heard of shooting clear that has extra hardener (like used on wheels) in order to offer a surface that can take more abuse.

Cheers,

Mike

Really nice car and great colour!

But why that?

No big deal to put it off and much more better for paint quality!

Greetings Christian

David:

I bought factory TT-S ducts. So the lights in there are the Square Base Hella. Is there an upgrade? I saw where someone modified a MA Shaw duct and it looked great. Can the same thing be done on the factory piece. The way they are set up from the factory is pretty much useless.

Mike they shot 4 coats of clear. I am not sure they used extra hardener. Never really asked.
