I disassemble and hand lubricate my engine before each startup. I feel this provides the best protection.

Actually, I'm just a regular old BP 20W-50 user based on the recommendations of people that have seen the inside of a flat six a lot more than I have. I, so far, have gotten mine from Matt Shaw out of Nashville, TN.

There's a source on e-Bay. Search "BRAD PENN". Bob Rahilly of RAHMOC (engine builder and former NASCAR great) out of Concord, NC sells it. I just found a hardware store here in town that sells it! I bet if you asked a local independent to do it, they would. I buy two cases at a time (one of each wt.)and that lasts me for a year.

Zimms carries them for $6. Since they are local, I just drive over and pick it up. But you can order online.

Mine is $5/quart, including tax and no shipping. I am meeting the guy at a DE next weekend, where I will pick up another case.

for me $3.15 qt, Of course since I live here in Pa and the refinery is about an hour and a half away, it's not a problem to find the oil for sale. When I asked for 10w40 I was told that that was not going to be on the market until May. So 20w50 will do.

Also use BP and haven't noticed any differences.
